Captain Canuck vs Blue Fox

After ending my Little Friends series with Captain Canuck, I had an itch to draw the new version of him that has been designed for the upcoming Animated Web Series.  I not only love his new look, but the new Blue Fox design as well.  I'm excited to see how the show turns out!

LITTLE FRIENDS - Galactus & Mogo / Captain Canuck & Guardian

Hey gang!  Sad to say, but here are the final two Little Friends that I'll be doing.  I'm ending off the series with these gems, due to work picking up and free time is getting cut back again.  But don't you worry, I have some more fun things up my sleeve and lots more cool stuff to share!  Thanks again to all of YOU for making this series as fun and entertaining as it was!  Digital hugs.

LITTLE FRIENDS - Dr. Polaris & Magneto / Boomerang & Captain Boomerang

Sorry I missed yesterdays posting everyone... super busy day.  So, today you get a double scoop!!
First of all, Magneto and Dr. Polaris.  (is he really a doctor of magnets?)  And lastly, the boomerang duo.  (seriously, both are pretty lame, but the Captain takes the cake.  He looks like a cross between a girl guide and an airline stewardess!)

LITTLE FRIENDS - Ultron & Brainiac

I know sometimes Brainiac isn't completely "robot", but sometimes he is.  Also, I wonder, how is it that villains that are so darn smart, like these two, or Thanos, Lex Luthor, etc etc, never "really" win?!  I mean, I know that bad never wins and all, but their "genius" plans always turn out flawed.
I do like how they explain it at least with Thanos, in that he subconsciously creates holes in his plans in order to be defeated.

LITTLE FRIENDS - Wasp & Bumblebee

Let me just say... I felt extremely girly drawing this one.

LITTLE FRIENDS - Green Lantern & Quasar

Nothing like a great thumb war between friends!  I think that Quasar would probably win, not because he has more abilities or powers, but simply because his constructs are yellow, but who knows.

LITTLE FRIENDS - Cheetah & Tigra

I just realized, that I've only done two Little Friends with female characters, and both of them are feline related.  Strange.

LITTLE FRIENDS - Thor & Captain Marvel

This one was fun to do!  I wasn't going so much for similarities, but the overall comedy of the fact that Thor could provide the lightning for Captain Marvel to change forms.  That said, they are similar in the sense that both hero characters are embodied in a human counterpart.  Shazam!

LITTLE FRIENDS - Captain America & Commander Steel

Here's another character that I'd never heard about, before I did some hunting.  When looking for some characters counterparts, I'll search the web and for Captain America in particular, people would suggest Superman, or Wonder woman, etc.  But they don't really have that much in common.  Then I found Commander Steel... while actually looking for info about Steel, a potential counterpart to Iron man.

LITTLE FRIENDS - Superman & Gladiator... & Hyperion

Originally, I was just going to have Supes and Gladiator, (Sentry was also an option, but I thought Gladiator had more in common), but then someone wonderfully pointed out this character named Hyperion!  I had never heard of this character before, but I'm glad someone mentioned him!  He's like that guy that shows up uninvited, but no one really knows who they are or why they're there.

LITTLE FRIENDS - Black Lightning & Electro

Seriously, 'Black Lightning'?  Quite an original name there.  And while we're on the subject, apparently Electro is the villain in the Amazing Spider man 2 movie... oh, and he's played by Jamie Foxx.  Personally wouldn't be my choice for the role, but there you go.  Perhaps their turning Electro into more of a lame goofball character?!  Who knows.

LITTLE FRIENDS - Swamp Thing & Man-Thing

Seriously, some of these characters are just too similar!  I mean, come on... I came up with a new unique character today... he's a creature that come from the swamp!... I'll call him Swamp Thing... no, Man-Thing... no no, Green Plant Man Creature Thing.  ...you know what I mean.

LITTLE FRIENDS - Mr. Fantastic & Elongated Man... & Plastic Man

Even as a kid, Plastic Man always came off as obnoxious and weird.  I'm not sure why.  Perhaps it's his strangely awkward uniform and the fact that he always tries too hard to be cool.  You know the type.  Maybe his creator, Jack Cole, intended him to be like that.

LITTLE FRIENDS - Hulk & Grundy

Intellect isn't their strong point.  They mostly go to the gym together and work out.  ...or smash stuff.

LITTLE FRIENDS - Ghost Rider & Atomic Skull

I thought I'd start the week off with a nice positive message!  (Technically, Ghost Rider could have just put the marsh mellows to his own head, but where's the caring in that?  I suppose if he did though, there might be a little less radioactiveness to them.)
